Welcome to my universe.

Everything you see here is a reflection of my mind.

Rebeca Perez is a Brazilian visual artist based in São Paulo whose practice explores intimacy, desire, vulnerability and the complexities of human connection. Working primarily through painting and drawing, she creates figurative compositions where the female body becomes both subject and site of investigation—a space where personal experience, social expectations and emotional memory converge.

Drawing from autobiographical narratives, Perez examines love, heartbreak, longing and self-perception, challenging the often-conflicting roles imposed upon women. Through recurring symbolic motifs, particularly eyes and anatomical hearts, her work investigates the relationship between perception and emotional exposure, navigating the tension between what is revealed and what remains hidden.

The female body occupies a central role within her visual language, functioning as a vessel to explore identity, desire and belonging. Blending tenderness with discomfort, Perez creates psychologically charged imagery that translates raw, intimate emotions into profound symbolic forms.

Influenced by contemporary figurative painting, underground visual culture and personal storytelling, her work bridges individual experiences and universal narratives, inviting reflection on how we love, imagine, remember and construct ourselves through our relationships. Perez has exhibited her work in independent galleries, cultural exhibitions and prominent art fairs throughout São Paulo, and her pieces are held in private collections.
